DUALITY
The Black Sea was white at dawn and red at sunset. Why would anyone name it ‘black’? I guess in the beginning it was black like an abyss!
The Black Sea
Good and evil, peaks and abysses, ecstasy and anguish: in this work, the eternal dualism that defines the human condition is transfigured into a distortion of light generated through the juxtaposition and association of light and dark tones.
The aesthetic effects are crystallised to create geometric spaces reminiscent of rocks that were once a sea. The primordial idea mineralises into the fascinating birth of chromatic contrasts and tensions that give a homogenous shape to the composition while defining the plastic language of the artist.
