Escape from Chronos

A visual metaphor for the artist’s desire to escape daily angst, Escape from Chronos deals with the idea of Time, a subject that is very dear to Daniela Caraman.
Through the plasticity of composition, the artist is caught in the act of eluding not just her personal time, but that of History, the contradictions of a world dominated by humanitarian and health issues where wars and pandemics are causing social and economic crises.
The dramatic arrangement of colour schemes, originating from a pasty texture, reflects an explosive gestural expressiveness. Shapes metamorphose into colours in an attempt to escape.
